What Fallie found # 16
What Fallie found # 15
This is the same one from last Friday but a much better picture!
Insects Fallie found in the mountains
She found a few others that we were unable to photograph before we released them back into the wild. Unfortunately, the girls did not get to see the luna moth but I took a photo to show them. I had never seen one alive before and was so happy to see this one. These photos make me realize that we need to learn much more about insects. I have no idea what kind of dragonflies we saw or what type of spider that was (he was going under water to get away!).
Fifty four leaf clovers!
Fallie has collected over one hundred four leaf clovers in the last three months. Seriously. She has given half of them away but here is a photo of the fifty four leaf clovers she has pressed and saved. The neighbors think she is a Leprechaun.
Tiny skull in her pancake
Yesterday was pancake day for the Skull Girls and Fallie discovered a little blob of batter (seriously, this was about a quarter of an inch in diameter) that got cooked and was later incorporated into one of her pancakes. It looked like there was a teeny, tiny little human skull drawn on it from the frying pattern. She ate it last.

Lizard catcher
The other kids don’t react quickly enough. They are still yelling in excitement and wondering how to catch a lizard when Fallie stands up, holding the green anole in her hands. She is fearless, fast and always searching for interesting things.
Fallie found some tiny weeds on our adventure.
What Fallie found # 12
This little beauty is only an inch square but it really made Fallie happy yesterday.
Fallie caught three lizards in ten minutes (the photos are all of the same one). The neighbors are getting freaked out by her abilities.
what Fallie found # 11
She was playing with a tennis ball in the side yard yesterday. It rolled down the hill and she chased after it. The ball stopped rolling in a patch of clover and she thought, huh, I want to find a four leaf clover today. When she actually found one (it only took a few minutes), Fallie screamed, picked it and came running to show me. She decided to look for more. Yeah, right… I heard another scream - she found a second four leaf clover! Her sister and three neighborhood kids started searching the clover too. Some kids begged Fallie to give them one of hers. No one else looked as long as she did - they gave up. Another scream, other kids started to cry, and Fallie ran to me with her THIRD four leaf clover in under twenty minutes!
flowers from Fallie
After her adventures with Babo, she brought these home for me. You cannot see it in the photograph but she tied the flowers together with grass. I love it.
what Fallie found # 9
This wasp was flying around inside our house last night but Fallie was the first one to notice it. We captured him and let him go outside.
what the girls found at Fort Mountain
Finn and Babo found this huge lizard, already missing his tail, at the overlook on Saturday. She uncharacteristically screamed like a little girl when he decided to run away. Fallie caught several insects on our long hike through the woods. Some even spit on her fingers but she just wiped the goo on the bark of a tree and laughed.
