What I found
Mumblelard was at work and the girl children were at their grandparents. This little snake was under the garage door. I took some photos and then moved him down towards the back yard. I thought it was a baby snake (which would mean many more were around) but Finn identified it for me - a ring neck snake. They are little and cute. Everyone was mad at me for letting him go and not keeping it for them to see…
I found this little snake when I opened my garage door yesterday. I thought it was a baby and immediately thought of its siblings that must be crawling nearby (I am a bit scared of snakes by the way)… The girl children were at their grandparents so I took photos and moved the snake down the hill, away from the threat of my tires. That evening, I showed the pictures to Finn and she said, “It’s a ring neck snake! My friend Kayla had one as a pet and brought it to the Montessori school! It’s not a baby!” I’m so proud of my girl.
Stuffed snake for Babo
Fallie and I made this cute little guy for K for Father’s Day. She wrote the tag but then asked me to add the last line, calling dibs on posting this picture! I like the way this one turned out so much that now I am think about making some with two heads…
almost dead snake
Finn yelled, “SNAKE!” as soon as they got outside on Saturday. This poor guy was in the middle of the road, in the hot hot sun. He was barely alive but we moved him into the soft cool grass and hoped for the best. Fallie went back to check on him every three minutes but he didn’t make it.
