What Fallie and I made
The mice are based on this little guy. Uncle Braindead asked her to make one for Matty when he saw it while camping. Her cousin N has two imaginary friends, named Sally Tree and Backyard (Sally Tree is naughty and does things that N gets in trouble for). The pink mouse was going to be called “Rose” but Fallie changed its name to “Bark” because N would think that is funny and she loves nature. The Sleepy Kitty is four little pieces of fleece Fallie cut out a couple of weeks ago and I love the simplicity and his expression.

Here is the creature I finished for Fallie, based on this. I think she was really happy with the way he turned out.
the design
Fallie has been drawing monsters and imaginary creatures lately. She asked me to help her turn one design into a stuffed toy. This is the design she chose to turn into a plush toy (notice the check mark and that it is circled!).

what Fallie and I made after school
She asked me to help her make an apron and I had the time that day. She absolutely loves this apron. The pocket is just the right size for Muffin Mouth and it is for crafting. Fallie almost wore it to bed that night and she put it on first thing in the morning and almost wore it to school. It would have been fine with me if she wore it either of those times but she gets embarrassed sometimes. It made me laugh that she loves it so much that she doesn’t want to ever take it off.
Burb*
We made this little black mouse for Fallie’s friend who is coming over tomorrow (he is friends with Lowl). This one is named after another of Fallie’s favorite internet slang terms, BRB. She thinks it is hilarious when her classmates (second graders!) try to pronounce the letters like a word (LOL and OMG are her other favorites but I’ sure she knows more than she tells me).
* I thought she spelled the names like the abbreviations but I was wrong.
gift from Granny
My mother-in-law went a little crazy at the craft store and got these remnants for us! Finn has always loved to sew and is quite skilled for her age. Fallie is interested now and has so many ideas in her head. This will be fun.
Lowl
Fallie and I made this little critter yesterday. She likes making 3D creatures now, not flat ones that look like pillows. This mouse has whiskers, an embroidered nose, googly eyes, a cream-colored tummy, a long gray tail, huge ears (like Despereaux) and four tiny pink feet. She named him Lowl after one of her favorite internet slang words.
