I saw our tarantula catch a cricket last weekend. Badger is a bad ass.
Molt # 4 (remember when we got him?)
We always worry when our spiderling doesn’t eat for an entire week. Mumblelard was right though - he molted again! His front four feet are enormous now and his body is much hairier. We are looking at his molted exoskeleton under the microscope today.
Even though this photo isn’t great, I can tell how much darker and redder the top of his abdomen is. As he ages, the coloring switches and his “toes” will be pink/red and his body will be mostly black.
Guess who molted and almost doubled in size
