snow in Atlanta!

We got three inches of snow on Friday and the girl children had so much fun. They had Friday and today off of school (teacher work days? Lincoln’s Birthday? President’s Day?) so it has not been easy to post anything. I tried to capture some of the craziness on my camera and will post more soon.

birthday cake
This year’s cake was red velvet (again) and had four layers (three is the most I have done before). The photo doesn’t show how good the glittery gold icing looked. The dragon was left over from the goody bags but matched perfectly.

mini donkeys!

We took a short walk after our Thanksgiving feast and went down to the farmhouse.  They have lamas, sheep, horses and two mini donkeys.  I think they just wanted something to eat but let’s pretend they were excited to see us.

pin the tail on the squirrel was a huge success!
I don’t know if it went so well because the game was smaller than normal, or if it was just a good crowd, but this was the best pin the tail game ever!

fake sleepover

A new friend from school came over today for three hours.  It was one of the most successful play dates ever - that means there was no fighting or arguing!  Very rare indeed!  When Fall’s friend was gone, she asked me if we could have a fake sleepover.  What is that?  Fallie said, “We go put on pajamas right now!  I am very tired!”  She has been in pajamas since 2:15 and is in bed now!
