Thanks for posting your drawings! I LOVE them! School ends this Friday and I have so many projects to work on with Finn and Fallie. We will be crafting, writing, collecting, and studying many things this summer. You have inspired me to draw more often! Yay!
PS I am pretty fond of the little turquoise and orange striped one!
For brerfly, who asked: these are my monsters.
I’m no artist, but drawing monsters is calming. It’s freeing to just put a pencil on the paper, make a shape, and give that shape a personality.
My monsters are mostly a worried sort. Maybe they’ll help me laugh at my worries. Or perhaps they’re just silliness. Either way, I like them.
(I like the pink one best. Don’t tell the others.)

After Man: A Zoology of the Future by Dougal Dixon
Mumblelard gave me this beautiful (hardback!) book for the winter solstice. The drawings are fantastic and the subject is something I am a bit obsessed with. The girls enjoyed looking at this book every time I checked it out from the library even though several of the creatures are creepy. I think Fallie will be ready to work on a similar project this summer.
