the school clinic called or how to ruin Fallie’s weekend
Fallie is home sick with a low fever and sore throat. Tonight her sister is going to a friend’s birthday party (a sleepover with laser tag!) so Fallie invited a friend to spend the night here. Big bummer. Poor kid is on the couch watching a movie about fairies (have I mentioned that she hates tv?) and looks awful. At least she isn’t throwing up - that is so much worse.
the warmest spot in the house
Gopher Guts is holding her “hurt paw” in the position she uses to get sympathy. It doesn’t work on me or Mumblelard but the girl children buy it every time. I think she looks moronic doing that and I always laugh at her. Sometimes she does this when she gets in trouble and clearly is not in pain. Oh yeah - Fallie likes to warm up by this heat vent and pretend she is also a cat.
Finn and Fallie watched a movie yesterday after playing outside for over two hours (it was cold for Atlanta!). They didn’t want to disturb the cat and would have stayed there forever. I do like the little Gophie-sized nest in between the girls.
that is not a carrot!
this was not made for Gopher Guts
Both of the girls can actually fit inside this box and they can close the flaps. The younger one asked me to help cut windows and she attached another box to hold things. Gophie thought it was for her and she is actually sitting on Finn inside there. Why was the cat looking at me?

We also found two skirts and two shirts for the girls! I asked Fallie if she would wear the yellow skirt and she answered, “Derrrr!” Finn wants some button up shirts so the light green floral shirt will be worn in a few months. We all liked the donkey t-shirt and Finn can pretend she has been to the Grand Canyon! It is on our list of places to go in the near future so she won’t be lying for too long.
last night
They were so good and sweet that I almost let them stay up late. Finn’s best friend is coming over today for a sleepover so I made them go to bed at the normal time last night.

Gophie loves wrapping paper part 4
This is the kind of thing I actually like about the cat, NOT the way she scratched her nose or the jumping three feet in the air when someone moves and landing on my bare skin with all of her claws out.
