I found this little snake when I opened my garage door yesterday. I thought it was a baby and immediately thought of its siblings that must be crawling nearby (I am a bit scared of snakes by the way)… The girl children were at their grandparents so I took photos and moved the snake down the hill, away from the threat of my tires. That evening, I showed the pictures to Finn and she said, “It’s a ring neck snake! My friend Kayla had one as a pet and brought it to the Montessori school! It’s not a baby!” I’m so proud of my girl.
Once, Finn beat Mumblelard at Guitar Hero. Now she is practicing songs by the Beatles and hoping to do it again.
Happy birthday to my sweet Finn!
She will be eleven years old this evening. She was climbing trees and riding her bike this past weekend and looked so happy. I barely have to look down to look into those beautiful blue eyes any more. The neighborhood kids are coming over to play games and have cake this afternoon. We are working on her cake and I hope I can get the icing the correct color… I’m so glad she is mine.
I came across this one tonight and it made me happy. It has been a rough couple of days and I am grouchy. I don’t think it is uncalled for but I am trying to be better. I love these girls.
Finn said, “Captain tight pants!” when she saw this in Edward Scissorhands.
