owl ears?

Badger is eating a lot of crickets. He ate fifteen last week and has consumed six in the past three days. That seems to be a lot for a little tarantula. The point is that the girls and I had to go to the store for more gut-loaded crickets. One pet store had recently sent us a $5 coupon so we didn’t go to the regular place. We searched by ourselves and were unable to find crickets. When we asked if they sold them, a jerk salesperson said, “Yes - they are by the fish.” After more searching, Fallie started to giggle. Why? She was standing still and realized that she could HEAR crickets! She couldn’t see them - they were on a shelf, way above her head - right where she thought they would be!

Now that it is no longer over 80 degrees outside, the leftovers are blooming
The girls gave me little flower pots & seeds for Mother’s Day 2008 and we tried growing them last summer. They sprouted but didn’t make it through the transfer to a bigger pot. We dumped all the leftover seeds in a pot and left it out on the deck and totally ignored them.

Fifty four leaf clovers!
Fallie has collected over one hundred four leaf clovers in the last three months. Seriously. She has given half of them away but here is a photo of the fifty four leaf clovers she has pressed and saved. The neighbors think she is a Leprechaun.

Green Anole

Fallie caught three lizards in ten minutes (the photos are all of the same one). The neighbors are getting freaked out by her abilities.
