I am surprised by how well the hard boiled egg mold actually works.
What I found
Mumblelard was at work and the girl children were at their grandparents. This little snake was under the garage door. I took some photos and then moved him down towards the back yard. I thought it was a baby snake (which would mean many more were around) but Finn identified it for me - a ring neck snake. They are little and cute. Everyone was mad at me for letting him go and not keeping it for them to see…
I found this little snake when I opened my garage door yesterday. I thought it was a baby and immediately thought of its siblings that must be crawling nearby (I am a bit scared of snakes by the way)… The girl children were at their grandparents so I took photos and moved the snake down the hill, away from the threat of my tires. That evening, I showed the pictures to Finn and she said, “It’s a ring neck snake! My friend Kayla had one as a pet and brought it to the Montessori school! It’s not a baby!” I’m so proud of my girl.
What Fallie found at the construction site behind our house and safely carried all the way home. She does this cute impression of a praying mantis catching its prey with its grasping, spiked forelegs.
Mr. froggy went a swimmin’ across a lake
The frog went a courtin’
Here he is again…
What Fallie found at her grandparents’ house (as told here).
punk rock squirrel
As soon as he was finished, Fallie said this little critter looks like he is in a band… A punk rock band! I agree.
