There is part of a toothpick holding the aluminum foil ball onto the milk jug lid. I like his crazy mouth but the fuzzy blue hair is what makes the creature truly awesome. Fallie likes to race him on the kitchen floor.

As soon as he was finished, Fallie said this little critter looks like he is in a band… A punk rock band! I agree.

Dream catcher
Fallie and I finished this today too. She and Finn made dream catchers years ago, at their old Montessori school, but Fallie’s broke. She was devastated and convinced she would have bad dreams.

What Fallie and I made
The mice are based on this little guy. Uncle Braindead asked her to make one for Matty when he saw it while camping. Her cousin N has two imaginary friends, named Sally Tree and Backyard (Sally Tree is naughty and does things that N gets in trouble for). The pink mouse was going to be called “Rose” but Fallie changed its name to “Bark” because N would think that is funny and she loves nature. The Sleepy Kitty is four little pieces of fleece Fallie cut out a couple of weeks ago and I love the simplicity and his expression.
reversible insect paper
I bought this paper a few years ago and cannot bear to cut it up. It is too big for the scanner but you get the idea here. I love that the bottom of each insect is printed on the back of each sheet. I guess it is about time to do something with it…
Fallie decorated the toothpick canister
She only put one sticker on it and I never saw her do this. I got to discover this when I got the toothpicks out to test some banana bread we baked. It made me happy.
what Fallie and I made after school
She asked me to help her make an apron and I had the time that day. She absolutely loves this apron. The pocket is just the right size for Muffin Mouth and it is for crafting. Fallie almost wore it to bed that night and she put it on first thing in the morning and almost wore it to school. It would have been fine with me if she wore it either of those times but she gets embarrassed sometimes. It made me laugh that she loves it so much that she doesn’t want to ever take it off.
Burb*
We made this little black mouse for Fallie’s friend who is coming over tomorrow (he is friends with Lowl). This one is named after another of Fallie’s favorite internet slang terms, BRB. She thinks it is hilarious when her classmates (second graders!) try to pronounce the letters like a word (LOL and OMG are her other favorites but I’ sure she knows more than she tells me).

Fallie scored this great wooden box at the thrift store on Saturday. She put LOL inside with a pillow and blanket but I’m sure the contents will vary. She was thrilled that I let her decorate the box however she wanted.
