I finally learned how to ride a bike (there is hope for Fallie yet) and a rare father-daughter tradition began. We would ride our bikes (mine was metallic blue with a banana seat) to the zoo on Saturday mornings and spend the day observing the animals. I don’t know if it was a stomach virus or the flu but we are all feeling better now. Finn still gets worn out quickly but appetites are coming back and we are all more active. Gopher Guts is panicking - she LOVES a kid with a fever. She was able to snuggle with someone 24 hours a day for a week straight so now she is being a brat and won’t leave me alone. <strong> </strong></p> <p>Thank you to all of our imaginary friends who sent us messages, wishes for a quick recovery and good vibes. It was greatly appreciated and cheered me up quite a bit. We had a false alarm on Monday when the school clinic called me to come pick up Finn. Her back and neck hurt and she was just feeling “bad.” She didn’t have a fever and she felt better that afternoon. We were so lucky! Then last night happened. Just as I was falling asleep, Finn got up to go potty and said she felt nauseaus. This isn’t too unusual any time someone is sick. She went back to bed. But it got ugly at 2:45 in the morning when the puking started. And again at 4:00 am, in their bedroom, on the carpet and down the side of the bed. Ug… I feel like someone is stabbing me in my stomach. Am I coming down with this? Is is sympathy pain? Yesterday was a bad one - full of worries and grouchiness. How long can an eight year old subsist on two crackers and half a gogurt  per day? Plus the school clinic called to say that Finn wasn’t feeling well (she is fine BTW, especially once it got up to 60 degrees outside - no you cannot go outside to play if you come home sick from school!) so we had to go pick her up at 10:00 yesterday. But this morning is better. Her <a href="http://blog.brerfly.com/post/370918355/fishy-i-took-fallie-to-get-opinion-number-four">foot</a> stopped hurting almost a week ago so it seems to be healed (doctor confirmed with x-rays and examination of course).
