I took Fallie to get opinion number four* on her foot this morning. The landscaping at this office (where they have successfully treated numerous broken bones for the skull girls and we should have gone to first) made me smile and think it would be okay. Looks like a hairline fracture on the outer part of her right foot. She got a fracture boot and is going to listen to the doctor and stop running and jumping for three weeks.
*First doctor said two fractures. Second doctor said no fractures. Doctor number three was an effing quack! He noticed that her hurt foot was red on the top while her non-injured foot was normal (could it be from the tight splint that she just removed from the hurt foot?), the injured foot is swollen (duh!) and the eight year old said it hurts when he touches her skin (it hurts more in certain parts of the foot but she is going to say it hurts if the creepy man touches any where close to the injury)… so it must be Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, a chronic, painful, and progressive neurological condition that affects the skin, muscles, joints, and bones! Ahhhhhhhhhh! He wanted her to go to a pediatric center for pain relief.
