We took a short walk yesterday or Finn foraging for wine grapes
The family Mumblelard has a favorite candy. People either love them or, more often, hate them. I enjoy the texture and flavor so much, and they taste just like the wine grapes I used to pick and eat as a child in Knoxville. Luckily I had just finished my apple and had a spare baggie to reuse. K and the girls picked grapes while I documented. It was a nice, quiet weekend.
What Fallie found # 15
This is the same one from last Friday but a much better picture!
The Skull Girls version of ring around the rosy.
Finn at the splashground.
It only cost $1 to play in the water and they have two covered areas. We always bring our folding camp chairs to parks (so much more comfortable and you can move them into the shade!) so this was rather enjoyable for all.
Cicada!
Fallie just made it downstairs in time to say bye to K this morning - he was already in the driveway, garage door closing, when she ran outside as fast as she could. Both girls got extra hugs. As we turned around to go inside, Fallie said, “What’s that?!” She really knew of course and I ran to find the big bug jar.
Stuffed snake for Babo
Fallie and I made this cute little guy for K for Father’s Day. She wrote the tag but then asked me to add the last line, calling dibs on posting this picture! I like the way this one turned out so much that now I am think about making some with two heads…
Mumblelard has promised the Skull Girls something big for memorizing this and performing it for us.

Sugar skull nightgown
I found this at the thrift store on Sunday and was so happy that I never paid full price for it at the store. I did modify it a bit - who wants heart shaped buttons on their skull nightgown?!
Someone put make up on my girls
